I always felt that the crew, officers, and entertainers were responsible and diligent. I did not feel I was on a "party boat". Minda Larsen, brings dynamic energy to operatic and musical theater stages alike. Most recently, she performed her original cabaret How to Find True Love on a Cruise Ship to great acclaim at the off-broadway club Don't Tell Mama in NYC! The run featured 2 sold out performances and 2 encore performances. In Spring 2011, Minda performed at the Orlando Cabaret Festival and a private industry event in Miami.In August 2011, Minda was named Top 15 finalist in the MetroStar Cabaret Competition in NYC.Recently, Minda was a soloist with the Westfield Symphony Orchestra for their New Years Eve Gala.Minda was also seen as the comedic lead role of Fairy Queen with the Village Light Opera Group. She performed the role of Rapunzel on the concept album of Rapunzarella White, a new musical featuring Broadway greats, Ann Crumb and Jeff Keller. In April 2010, Minda was one of 15 finalists in the prestigious Kurt Weill singing/acting competition and was seen at showcase at the Eastman School of Music. A frequent chorister with the NY Philharmonic, Minda has performed several concerts at Avery Fisher this year, including Beethovens Missa Solemnis and Mendelssohns Elijah. In December, she performed Amahl and the Night Visitors with the Little Orchestra Society at Lincoln Center. Minda received her Masters degree in vocal performance from the Manhattan School of Music where she was featured in Cy Coleman and Stephen Sondheim reviews working with Broadway director Paul Gemignani. In New York City, Minda has performed at the Tribeca New Music Festival, Carnegie Hall, Avery Fischer Hall, Metro Lyric Opera, the Little Orchestra Society, American Singers Opera Project, American Symphony Orchestra and a lifetime tribute to Broadway composer Jack Lawrence. Minda has traveled to over 70 countries and all seven continents as a cruise ship singer and loves writing/arranging music. Also an accomplished singer/songwriter and guitarist, she frequently performs her original music in the New York City area.
